With the 2024/25 WHL season fast approaching, and an exciting, remodeled Royals team shaping up for another year, let's take a look at 3 players who are sure to have a big season.

Cole Reschny
Cole Reschny was the third overall pick in the 2022 WHL draft, and it's easy to see why. Though on the smaller side, Reschny is exceptionally fast and agile, armed with a great shot and electric playmaking abilities. He was second in points on the Royals last season with 59 points (21G, 38A) in 61 games, and also led Canada in scoring at the recent Hlinka-Gretzky Cup. Reschny is arguably the most effective forward on the Royals roster this season, and will be counted on to produce.

2. Jayden Kraus
Goaltender Jayden Kraus served as the Royals' backup last season, and showed flashes of brilliance with his quick hands and strong positioning. However, with a save percentage of .870 and a goals-against average of 4.29 in his 26 games played, he just didn't look quite ready for a starter role. Now, with Braden Holt out of the picture, Kraus seems like the most likely option to fill that role. Will he rise to the challenge?

3. Justin Kipkie
Justin Kipkie led Royals defensemen in points last season with 52 (16G, 36A) in 67 games and is a force to be reckoned with, both offensively and defensively. A strong skater all over the ice with a blistering slapshot, the Utah HC draft pick is a huge piece of the Royals defensive core. Kipkie has also shown a strong aptitude for clutch situations, leading the team in overtime goals this past season. Will he be able to continue his solid game as a smart, producing blueliner while proving himself to the Utah organization?
